Hourly rates range from $125-$300, depending on the activity. Hourly rates are usually appropriate for short term or lower volume work.

Trustee fees are typically calculated as a percentage of assets under administration, reviewed annually, and disclosed in full in the engagement letter before any work begins. The percentage reflects the complexity of the trust, the nature of the assets, and the level of active management required, and is consistent with the reasonable compensation standard under California Probate Code §15681.

Trust administration engagements carry a minimum annual fee of $10,000, reflecting the ongoing legal responsibility, availability, and active oversight that professional private trusteeship requires. Fees are reviewed annually and disclosed in full in the engagement letter.

Executor compensation is governed by California Probate Code §10800, which sets statutory fees based on the gross value of the estate. These fees are not set by Presidio Private — they are established by California law and apply uniformly to all executors, professional or otherwise.

In addition to statutory fees, extraordinary compensation may be requested for work outside the ordinary course of administration — such as controversy management, real property sales, or litigation — and is subject to court approval.

We work closely with supervising counsel throughout the probate process. Hourly rates for extraordinary services are consistent with the professional fiduciary rates published on this page.
